| Bio: | Aloha, OR: We had a dog who barked incessantly. The neighbors complained. One day my mother taped his mouth shut with duct tape. He seemed unhappy. Later I discovered that the dog's barking made my father cry.
Amity, OR: Fewer cows than you might think. We had a lovely wild rose on our property, which died one summer for no clear reason.
Eugene, OR: I remember a crab-cheese appetizer that had an almost silky consistency. The trees are always green in the northwest, and there are a lot of trees in Eugene. I told myself my life was not yet wasted.
Seattle, WA: A hill and a mountain. Water surrounding.
Chicago, IL: There's a car out front that's been spinning its wheels back and forth for half an hour. An old, huge sedan with rear-wheel drive. The snow ploughs circle like buzzards. |
